DIRECTIONS TO NINE MILE POINT WELFARE GROUNDS,
GRAIG VIEW, YNYSDDU, NEWPORT, GWENT, NP11 7JG

Ynysddu is situated in the lower reaches of the Sirhowy Valley, in Caerphilly County Borough, in the old county of Gwent. The village can be found on the B4251, approximately 2 miles south of Pontllanfraith, and 3 miles north-west of Cross Keys.

From the north

From the Pontllanfraith/Gelligroes roundabout on the A472, follow the B4251 south, (signposted ‘Ynysddu’), for 1 mile. On entering the village, just after the ‘Black Prince’ public house, turn right at the crossroads. Continue on this road bearing left (do NOT go over the river bridge) into High Street. At the end of this street, continue on into Graig View, and go to the very end. Turn right into the lane here, which leads directly to the car park and changing rooms.

From the south

From the Cross Keys/Full Moon roundabout on the A467, take the second exit on to the B4251 (signposted ‘Wattsville’). Proceed through the villages of Wattsville, Brynawel and Cwmfelinfach. After leaving Cwmfelinfach, at the Ynysddu sign, turn left down the hill. At the bottom of this hill, turn sharp left (hairpin bend) into Graig View. Go to the end of the end of the road; turn right into the lane, which leads directly to the car park and changing rooms.
