What's happening with this site and forum? All has gone quiet and has been for a while. I realise that people have other committments to fill their time but it would be a shame if such a promising looking site was to slip by the way side. The match reports keep me amused on a dull day in the office so can we please have them back?. There's so much potential for this site and it's not being used.

So, now that the 08-09 season has come to a close what are the post/pre season plans? When I were a lad it was down the field for training on Tuesday/Thursday evenings and occasionally a Saturday morning. Although Friday nights did tend to get in the way of that one a bit! Mr Badger beasting us around Machen mountain, leap frogging along the line from Cwm to Ynys and generally making some of the lads bring their dinners up. Junxy having us do laps around the pitch doing all sorts of exercises and Gilk Snr ready with a stopwatch for races around the field. On the other hand of course you could take to the Haven on the Hill for a few Saturday afternoon ciders and a flutter or two in the bookies down stairs. Get the ball rolling as soon as possible, afterall what else are you going to do on a Saturday?

lets get that 2nds vs 3rds match together next week or at the end of the season

Well done to Ynsyddu on a great win today. Although we did have to send Murphy up top to do what he does best, score goals

as the 2nds and 3rds have no games for a couple of weeks we shud all av a kick around on a sat down the field. Keep the fitness levels up as i need it

Well again I have to abandon my team mates for 'work' in the mediterian for 8 weeks. Keep the fight up for the league and cup. will maybe catch the postponed fixtures am back 17th april. Hope the reveolution can carry on claimimg points off the main rivals.

What ever happened to the days of travelling north to the likes Blaina and Beaufort and playing in the snow?!. Battling on hardened pitches in blizzards for 3 points but coming away with nothing frostbite for your troubles and, for those unlucky enough, a thick ear from copping a snowball in the head from Troggy in goals! Oh back in the day.

You lads have it easy these days.
